Strategy for Early Season Whitetail

What’s your strategy for an early season whitetail hunt?   Food Plots?   Bedding areas?   Water Holes?

In this video we see Wade Middleton hunting with a Thompson Center Compass Bolt-Action Rifle in 30.06 topped with a Cabela’s Instinct HD 3×9 rifle scope.  His plan has him sitting about 100 yards away from a large food plot on a nearby pond in a recently made ground blind.  His thoughts are that the deer based on the heat are moving early and late near this pond and he’s hoping to intercept one coming and going.  He know’s he’s not going to see a lot of deer but on the Stealth Cams in the area he’s seen two really nice bucks of which either one he’d be happy to harvest.
